My Tasks

I started working on SmartTable months after its first release. The first design tried to satisfy the needs of the market, however, after months of using the app, we gather some feedback from the customers who helped us tremendously to enhance the use of SmartTable.

As part of the SmartTable design team, we conducted Guerrilla usability testing, which provides us with helpful information about our audience. Then, we started to add various features to both Vendor app and customer App in order to ease the process of using the app and make it more beneficial.

Redesigning the application contains various steps such as feature prioritization, optimizing the navigation throughout the whole app by applying better UX and communicating with the development team to make sure all our must-have features are feasible and we can achieve them in the planned sprint.

In the vendor portal, our clients stressed the importance of Dashboard navigation and so we redesign the dashboard based on what we capture through our meeting with various vendors.

Once we were confident that our plan for the app is in the right direction, we started to improve the interface of the app. Using elements that are in harmony with the purpose of our food ordering app was vital for our team. I mainly use Sketch to deliver my design to the team however the use of Photoshop was also necessary.

After designing each flow, we presented the job by creating the prototype either in Invision or Sketch itself, so that our developers fully understand the design.

one of the latest changes to the SmartTable was introduced by our manager, which required an Impose-like platform named SmartGUI. The main reason behind proposing the idea was that the vendor does not need to interact with two different platforms (Impos and Vendor portal), as we can have both on SmartGUI. For the SmartGUI’s UX, I used Axure for wireframing.
